What We Do.

The Metamorphosis Everybody Eats Project, A 501(c)3 Not For Profit organization addresses and assists in reducing food insecurities by providing emergency nutritional assistance to families of underserved and low-income communities affected by various stability challenges.

In March of 2020 ” The Everybody Eats Project” was started in response to growing demand from families in the community who were experiencing food insecurities as a result of challenges related to and affected by Covid 19. With the assistance of monetary, food, and household item donations, we are able to create emergency care packages for those in need. Our Care packages are specifically tailored to the needs of the family being serviced to avoid food allergies and minimize the wasting of unwanted items for delivery to each family’s home. To date, we have assisted over 200 families in The Poconos, and the surrounding areas with a specific focus on those who are unable to leave their homes, which included families who were Covid 19 positive and quarantined, the elderly, families displaced by the fire, others experiencing challenges as a result of unemployment, loss of family members related to the pandemic and Asset Limited, Income constrained employed ( A.L.I.CE, ) families. Since its inception, the Everybody eats project has grown to accommodate other needs such as assistance with clothing, home furniture, baby needs, and more.

The Everybody Eats Project goes where others may hesitate or are unable to do so. It’s necessary in order to reach those that need help the most. We thank you for helping us heal the Poconos and surrounding areas, one family, at a time. A little love goes a long way.

Equipment

They will also assist with the purchase of the necessary equipment that will allow us to safely store food and items such as a refrigerator and deep freezer, computers for daily business, and a company vehicle to be able to continue deliveries especially to those who cannot get to our office.

It Makes Sense.

The need for assistance continues to rise as a result of three critical trends: 1) The cost of living is increasing, 2) There have been Minimal increases in wages, and 3) The number of Asset Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed (A.L.I.C.E.) households are increasing. In 2018, 39% of Pennsylvania households struggled to make ends meet. 12% were at or below the federal poverty level. 27% were ( A.L.I.C.E.) families. In Monroe county, 55,109 families are included in this category. 43% of those families were below A.L.I.C.E.
